Hi,

This request is already in our enhancement queue, unfortunately, we do not have a target release date for it yet. We will keep you updated on any news.

Thank you for your suggestions and your support of AhsayOBS.

Good to know its already in the queue :)

I didn't think it would be a big change to add this feature though...

I think this would be mandatory since if you want to monitor the product you will need some sort of windows events. You could monitor the logs and then generate events in your monitoring console but this is a lot of work. Would be better just to take the events from the eventlog and use those.

Logging to Linux syslog would be a great help too. Another feature that should already be there!

This functionality should really be considered a core requirement, not a "nice to have" add on.
Every decent Windows-based software package provides logging to Event Logs so that all events can be managed through one management system.
We, and our customers, have extensive event log monitoring sets setup but the Ahsay backups completely throw off this mechanism because there is no log data for them.
Backup Exec writes everything to the event log. And so does every other major backup software package on the market.
Ahsay,
When will this basic function be added?

We can understand the importance of this feature, however, this feature is still in the pending queue because of the tight development schedule. If there is any update on this issue, we will post out the info in here.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
