Selective Replication (No Logs)

Postby ausip » Wed Feb 11, 2015 6:32 am

Looking at my replication logs, it seems that there is a lot of bandwidth sucked up just replicating OBS log files.

Is it possible to replicate only user data and system config information, excluding the extensive logging that OBS performs?

ie: exclude /system/logfiles/*

Hello,

The files located in the /system/logfiles/*.alf are generated when your replication process is in SYNC mode. These logxxx.alf file are transaction log files which contain the data which your AhsayOBM/AhsayACB clients have uploaded to AhsayOBS when replication is in SYNC mode.

Please refer to Chapter 2.7 Transaction Logging and Chapter 2.8 Replication Mode of AhsayOBS
of our Ahsay Replication Server Administrator’s Guide for detailed explanation of replication modes and the uses of transaction log files https://forum.ahsay.com/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=9785
