Getting rid of warning like "No database file found for..."

Postby mitos » Sat Feb 15, 2014 12:56 am

Hi, I have a 3 backupsets for same SQL database. One is Fullbackup, the other differential backup, and third is TransactionLogs. The FULL and differential backup are working without warnings. The Transaction logs are also completed, but with warning like:
"No database file found for 'Microsoft SQL Server\SQLSERVER\(local)\ExDatabase' "

When looking at the File explorer , I can see the T-logs completed successfully. However, I receive warnings in every transaction log backup. How do I get rid of it?

Here is the complete log:

Alex from Ahsay gave me some hint,

The pronlem is probably because i have three different backupset from the same sql database. I should have one backupset from the same database.

However, how do I retain 1 yearly backup, with 3 differential backup (1 each day) and 15 min T-logs (1 day).

I could always add a retention plan from 1 year full backup, 3 X copies of differential backup, but I would suddenly have alot of T-logs which will not retains until the next year full backup.

to remove the warning just run a full database backup on all the backupset's

no database file found means there is no full database in which the transaction log backup corresponds to
