Any more patch/hotfix for OBS 5.5.8?

Postby samwong » Fri May 13, 2011 3:10 pm

We have our ahsayOBS running on a Netgear NAS.

There is no more NCU starting from V.6.

Will there be any more updates for the old OBS 5.5.8?

Are you using Ahsay RPS at the moment? What problems are you seeing? We too have 40TB of data across 8 OBS's, and were planning to implement RPS. Can you share your experience?

Id like to see the OBM seed load percentage bug fixed, just doesnt make the product look professional.

There's a 5.5.8.1 hotfix, but you have to ask support for it, and it's not a traditional hotfix so you need to apply it differently.

It's a bit ridiculous... we purchased the Ahsay OBS and been using it for less than a year... and then Ahsay stopped supporting its software on NAS.... this is very bad.

For your information, there will be an official 5.5.8.2 hotfix released before the end of Jun. v5.5 will still be supported until v7 becomes available in Q4 2012 but we will only back port critical bugs to v5.5 because making too many changes to stable release will simply make it unstable again.
